Had my 37-week appt & cervical exam

When they say "you're going to feel a little bit of pressure," they're lying. LOL! Had my first cervical exam today to check on my progress. It wasn't really THAT bad... it was quick.

Found out that I am 1cm dilated! The baby is estimated to be at 7 1/2 pounds already, and she's head down and ready to go!

After my appointment, hubby and I went by the hospital to get our bearings and figure out where we need to go when the big moment comes.

Tomorrow is my last day of work for 10 weeks! I'm excited about that. And my coworkers took me out for a lovely send-off luncheon yesterday and gave me a very generous gift card for Babies R Us.

I still have yet to pack my bag but I will finally get around to it this weekend. I can't believe it's almost time!

I was wondering how you were doing! That is good news too know that you are making some progress

I packed my bags, and I am upset that I did because it is in the car and I have thought about how nice those sweatpants I packed would be right about now. Yes, I packed the comfy ones, and if I go tot he car to get them, they will be too cold to put on right away anyway.

Wow! It's so hard to believe that it's almost time already!! I seems like just yesterday I joined the board and now you're about to have your little girl already and I know that means I'm not that far behind :)

Hi! Did you set up the nursery yet? I want to see :finished" pics....that mural you painted was so beautiful and it must be so sweet with all the furniture in it.

It's still a work in progress. I'm having my second baby shower tomorrow, so I hope to get some of the things I need to put the finishing touches on (like crib bedding!) But here's a picture of part of it:

Thank you! It's been a labor of love, for sure! My friend gave me his daughter's old dresser/changing table (she's 7 now) and it was in pretty bad shape... so I had the project of refinishing it and painting it to match the crib. It took me 3 weeks but it turned out pretty dang good considering I've never done a furniture project before! I'm just looking forward to having it all finished so that I can sit in my glider and enjoy it! LOL

I am glad the check wasn't bad for you....its always been hell for me. I think it has more to do with my tilted cervix than anything but that crap HURTS  lol  (Could also be I am a huge wuss)

Glad to hear things are progressing well for you. Any noticeable contractions at all for you yet?

Thanks! It wasn't one of my most favorite things, but it was short so it wasn't too bad.

As far as contractions go... no, not that I can tell! But I sure feel the baby rolling around in there a lot.
