I posted early about how you know everything is okay between Dr. appointments.  Thanks everyone *****plied.

A fetal heart monitor sounds like a great idea.  I actually got one from Motherhood but they told me it may not wor****il late second trimester, early third trimester so I am hoping that is why I could not hear the heartbeat.  In addition, my Dr. said I have a anterior placenta making it more difficult to hear the heartbeat and feel movement.

Anyone experience this or know of a brand of fetal heartbeat monitor that would work at 19 weeks?

Are you using the kind with the ultrasound gel?
The one I had picked up a heartbeat at 7 weeks. I got it online, from HiBebe. It is digital and was about $100. If you are 19 weeks along, you may want to rent one unless you are planning on having more kids.

The one I have does not have the gel.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I will look into that.  I live in Hawaii so things take forever to get here.

Yea I agree.  You should try to get some gel to use.  It really helps.  I got my doppler from amazon the other day and was able to hear the heartbeat after some searching at about 14 weeks.  I've been able to hear it again 2 more time with ease (baby isn't moving around too much).

I would return that one!  Those "fetal heart monitor" things rarely work.  You need a real doppler like the others have said.  I got one on Amazon really cheap and it worked by 16 weeks WITH a bunch of belly fat and an anterior placenta.

I got this one.  http://www.amazon.com/Angelsounds-Fetal-Doppler-Battery-Incl uded/dp/B004ATR3LQ/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=12 94607188&sr=8-9

Make sure you get some gel too!

I got a HIBebe on after Chelle recommended it and was able to hear the baby after about 12 weeks.

Thanks everyone.  I ordered one from HiBebe.  Should be here by the end of the week.
