Spoke w/my OB Today...
So... that's the latest with me. I'll keep you all posted when we shcedule our AI.
I'm with you re the eggs...I'm older than you (I'll be 43 in March)...and I've had 5 mc in the last three years. Four pregnancies were achieved 'naturally,' one w/IUI. All the drs have been singing 'old age/old eggs' regarding my miscarriages - despite tests showing I have genetic mutations for three separate blood clotting disorders. Now, here in Bulgaria, I FINALLY have a dr who said that that is bull**** I still was going with the 'old eggs' after this last mc in September...until they did genetic testing (which if it's old eggs, the genetics will be wrong) and said that it was 'normal.' Which leads back to the most likely problem being the blood clotting mutations.
I'm not saying that it's NOT your eggs that are old...yes...at 40 (or worse...almost 43!) your chances per pregnancy are higher for chromosome problems...but if you take into consideration that there are less women over 40 trying to conceive...that scews the statistics somewhat. So when your dr is doing the 'drink the kool-aid old age' song and dance...don't get too involved in it. There are plenty of women over 40 who are having perfectly healthy babies on their own - (ie w/o IVF).
STAY AWAY FROM THE KOOL-AID!
