Between Dr. Appointments?

Just wondering how you know everything is okay between Dr. visits?

I am almost 19 weeks and most of my symptoms have gone away (morning sickness, sore boobs etc) and I am not sure if I have felt him move or not (I feel things, but not sure if its baby moving).

Its kinda frustrating.

Hi there,
I know. It can be really frustrating. WIth my first baby, I had dreams that she didn't have a head. To be totally honest, I went to an elective ultrasound place so I could see her, hear her heartbeat, and be assured that everything was ok. Once I began to feel her moving around 19 weeks, I felt better. I can feel this one a lot earlier, so I don't worry as much. ANyway, I guess what I am saying is that I felt a LOT better once I saw her and then felt her. Try not to worry too much. :-)

I felt the same way my first pregnancy, so I rented a doppler heart monitor.  I would listen to my son's heartbeat every night before going to bed...it was really nice and helped keep my heart at ease.  :)

I kinda have the same fears. And when I do go to the Dr and it takes them a moment to find his heartbeat I freak silently.. those 10 seconds are like years to me. But then they find it and I inwardly sigh in relief.

But i try to keep those fears in check. I thought about a doppler but I don't want to stress myself every day when i try to find the heartbeat and can't cause I have the big panni.

I bought a fetal heart monitor and used it about once a week to just hear that wonderful sound :) It was a sanity saver!

I borrowed a fetal heart monitor from a friend of mine, but I could not hear the heart beat.  She did tell me that she could not hear hers until she was in her 7 month.n (it was bought from Motherhood and they also said it works in the late second or early third trimester) \\

In addition my Dr. said I have an anterior placenta and this makes it more difficult to hear the heart beat and feel movement.

I was able to hear Amelia's heartbeat after about 10 weeks.

Good luck! I am sure that all is OK though :)
