Okay, this goes against everything I learned pre and post op, but I just polished off 6 Oreos and feeling extremely guilty. I didnt even dump. Please tell me I'm not alone ! Any guilty pleasures you've partaked in eating lately, so I don't feel alone in my guilt? LOL..I wasn't a sweet eater until I became pregnant and I don't want to lose control.

You are doing good if you made it this far without doing it! I can't get down 6 oreo's but I am actually sitting here eating a handful of Ghirardelli Chocolate chips.... OK, not a handful, I am eating them out of the bag

But you are not alone. I ate a couple sugar cookies at Christmas time, and choc. chip too. I was so bad I would wake up in the middle of the night and eat a cookie or two!

I keep telling myself that I can only eat this stuff without dumping because it is going to the baby.... If I keep telling myself that, I won't be able to eat sugar after he gets here!

To tell you the truth I surely wanted to eat the whole sleeve too!!! Boy those Oreos are dangerous!!!! I think I heard in the news a while back that some women were actually trying to get Nabisco to take them off the market due to the poor nutritional content. I'm glad they weren't successful :)

LOL 6 oreos Gina??? How could you??? :) I don't think I go 2 days without some form of sweets...whether it's a half a Caramello bar, brownies of some sort, or some Peanut Butter M&Ms (no lie- 2 weeks ago on our trip up North I was able to stomach an ENTIRE bag!!)!! I've always been a sweet lover and Christmas was no exception being home with all the home cooked food and baking that was going on. You're Soooo not alone in this one! I prayed that I would be a dumper after surgery for this very reason, but I have only ever dumped maybe 2 times in the last 4 years :(

Ok, so I just have to throw this out there. I wouldn't worry too much! I ate a lot (for a post RNY patient) while I was pregnant and even more when I was breastfeeding. When I was BFing I just felt like I couldn't get enough food. Now that Lorelai is on formula I feel like my stomach has gone back to what I cold eat before I was pregnant. I am dumping again (I didn't dump much while I was preggers) and there are things I could eat while pregnant/BFing that I can't really stomach any more. You've only got a couple more weeks of being pregnant, so don't worry too much.

You must be so excited to meet your little one!

I was the same as the above poster. I could eat anything during pregnancy (and did) and now that I had my baby, and only 2 weeks ago, I don't crave all the sweets etc that I did. I am BF, and I do have to eat alot more, but I find I am closer to my regular diet now. (still not perfect- but I am not going to worry about that for now)
Its funny how it will work itself out.
