Hey all!

I am Cheri. I am 36~ with PCOS & before RNY had been overweight since elementary school. After being told I would not have children and trying for three almost four years; I had miracle baby. He is now 5 years old. I had RNY 7 months ago and I am here to gather information for planning baby number 2. Currently, I have an IUD in place but I have been bleeding way too much- looks like I will have it removed and use the ring until June.

If you do not mind, I would like to hang out for a few months so I can ask questions and learn all there is to know. My husband was not sure it would be possible to conceive post op and remain healthy during and remain healthy after giving birth.

I appreciate your journeys~Cheri

Welcome. I suffer from PCOS. I had it pre op and also as a post op. I will be 8 yrs post op this year. I lost all my weight, made goal, maintained, and after the assistance of meds and fertility doctor was able to have my son, who is now 3. I had a pretty normal pregnancy and any and all complications I had were those that anyone, RNY or not, could have had.Things like anemia and low blood pressure. My son was born at 37 weeks and 6 lbs 7 0z. No complications. We are currently trying for number 2.

Hi Cheri & Welcome!

I will be 6 months post-op on the 22nd and have been coming to this board from the get go to gather info.  I guess I'd call myself a "creeper" because I dont reply much but I enjoy reading about others journeys because I am literally counting the days till hubby & I can TTC.  The women here are amazing (just like the rest of the people on OH).  You will learn so much from everyone...I can't wait to be able to post my BFP, in 6 months or more lol

Thanks for welcoming me.

I am going in tomorrow to have my IUD taken out. I have been hemorrhaging and I want some normalcy to my cycle before we start trying. I am thinking about going to the ring. Any thoughts?

Happy Weekend allCheri
