What does this mean?
Dr. Office called and infomred me that during the NTS screening, all findings were normal. But then says, the only thing that they want to monitor is the crown to rump length is a bit short. I don't know what that means, and is it indicative of abnormalities, or miscarriage or what? I was hoping for some answers. I realize that not all sonograms are perfect and that the actual measurement could be off, or the date, but any ideas? I am seeing the perinatologist b.c of advanced maternal age, and they were going to call me to determine if further testing was needed...
You could just be off on your EDD by a few days. At this stage a day or two really can matter when it comes to size. Also, remember that an inaccurate measurement can be caused by just being off a couple of pixles. Our little ones are so small at this stage. It also could be nothing... perhaps your baby is just going to be on the shorter side. "normal" is anything from like 17" to 22" full term... that's quite a span if you ask me.
Perhaps baby was just scrunching up a little bit.... I wouldn't worry over it... a. there's nothing you can do to change it... and b. it will just stress you out (which is bad for baby too) and c. It's more than likely nothing.
good luck.

Thanks. SInce the phone call this morning I have been looking everywhere on the internet trying to find answers. The estimated due date has been moved 3 times now, bc I don't have normal cycles and I was definately off on my dates... Thanks again for the advice, I am trying not to worry since the other realm of tests came back normal. I guess we are all overly nervous until the baby is born...
