Advice Needed!!
Hi There. I got pregnant 7 months post op and had a MC (not because of the WLS, it just happens). I then got pregnant again about 13 months post op and have the most beautiful little girl in the whole world. My doc wanted me to wait a full year. Honestly in the months between my MC and conceiving Lorelai I didn't lose much more weight, but I think it was good that I was at a stable weight for that many months.
I gained about 35 lbs while I was pregnant and have about 5 more to lose to get back to my prepregnancy weight (I don't count the weight I lost in my 1st trimester due to morning sickness). My doc is happy with my weight at 185 and so am I so I am not worried about that extra 5 lbs.
BTW, I also had PCOS and the only symptoms I had were difficulty losing any weight and infertility.
Good luck!
Tina

Hi friend....long time! How have you been? :)
I know that some doctors okay getting preggers once your weight stabilizes and vitamins are okay. That may end up being earlier than the recommended 18 months. But I would say to wait as long as you can....I found out on my 6 month surgiversary that I'm pregnant. (In my 11th week now...and I was on the pill!) Everything is going well so far...the baby is already moving around and has a strong heartbeat, but my OB does consider me high-risk. I've lost a lot of weight in the last few weeks because of dreadful morning sickness (add that to the RNY weight loss). So, just to avoid all the added trouble and worry, I say wait! :)
I hope all is well with you! :)
