20 Weeks Scan!

I just got back from the sono and the tech said that she is 99% sure that its a GIRL!! I am soooo shocked that I almost fell off the bed. I have been having such strong feelings since day one that its a boy. On a side note, I have to go back in 3 weeks because they couldn't see the heart because the baby was upside dow...n but we did get to hear it. They also said that the baby is measuring about 1 week behind and I am freaking out about it. Has anyone every experienced that and then have the baby catch up? I know I have heard the women who have had WLS go on to have smaller babies than women without WLS.

I wouldn't worry about the baby measuring smaller than expected at this point. All u/s measurements are ESTIMATES. A different tech could measure the same baby and come up with completely different numbers.
With this baby, he's been measuring on the large side the entire time, so I don't think all WLS mamas have small babies. My doctor is estimating he'll be 9lbs at birth.

Grats on your baby girl! I was totally positive one or both of my twins were boys and they ended up being identical girls. lol So much for "mother's intuition", huh?

They estimated my daughter would be 9 pounds at birth and when she came in she weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces I do not put much in what they guess on the babies weight and size and all. I think babies just do what they want as long as they continue to grow then thats all I worry about LOL according to my LMP I will be due on April 28. According to babies size May 15th so they changed my due date but my baby last year went 2 weeks ahead after being behind the whole time then still came out small. LOL who knows
