WOW, Yeah I would be wanting answers too! My OB told me the only reason I was considered high risk is to monitor the baby throughout the pregnancy better than they would at a regular clinic due to my RNY. Well some great job they are doing! He even told me that if I chose to during delivery, I could have the baby with a midwife and in a birthing center instead of the hospital! I thought that was a bit strange.

Wow~ I would LOVE the opportunity to have the baby with a midwife in a birth center rather than a hospital and have my insurance pay! That would be awesome! The way it goes where I live, most birth centers don't take insurance, and its around $4000. Yikes.
Still, going back to an earlier post, your DH is 100% correct. THEY work your you .... you need to be direct with them and tell them what you need. If it really is causing anxiety and stress, they need to know that and chart it ...those are two things it is their job to lessen, not build, for the health of that baby and YOU! :-)
