Is this normal?

I am 18 wks and 2 days.  For the past week, I have had odd feelings in my belly and would think it was the baby moving except sometimes it is very uncomfortable.  Not painful exactly, just uncomfortable. It is usually worse if I am sitting or standing, and relieves for the most part when I lay down, however, it does sometimes happen when I am lying down.  Has anyone experienced this?  Not sure if its normal or if I should worry.  This is my first baby, so I'm a little stupid in these matters!

Sounds like round ligament pain which can be really bad or just mildly uncomfortable.... it very well could be your little one moving around and triggering it. :) Laying down is about the only thing that helped me.

Yes, I agree, round ligament pains. I got them all the time until I got my maternity belt, which kinda lifted everything. It may be too early for one of those, but you can get the maternity spanx and they pretty much do the same thing, and hold everything in.

Sounds like the discomforts of the uterus stretching, and unfortunetly, it's gets worse! lol. Good luck!
