Had a loss in Aug. Now preg. w/#2

Back in August 2010 I had posted that we lost our son when I was 16 weeks pregnant, after trying for 13 years. Well... I got pregnant again in October 2010.

My edd is 6-25-2011 and its been scary already. We just realized the other day that the due date of our son we lost was jan. 12, 2011 and I was 16 weeks along. I will be 16 weeks along with THIS baby when that due date comes around. It is a sign of good things? or just me being freakishly paranoid? who knows...

I see the OB every 2 weeks. I've seen the MFM and had a cerclage placed at 12 weeks. They discovered I have a very short cervix.  So, I am not on bedrest, but after 15 weeks I may be. The OB said I may be on bedrest until I am about 28-30 weeks... its a long time, but it would be well worth it :)   The OB said that he couldn't do the McDonald stitch, (purse stitch is most common) but that he did the shidokar (or something like that) that is like a permanent abdominal stitch, but this one is NOT permanent...

So, for all of you that posted your thoughts and prayers for us, thank you....And for those of you who don't know me at all... its ok. I don't post here much, But I will keep you guys updated :)

It's a great sign...I had a MC June of 2009 and was due in Jan. I got pregnant Jan 2010 we are pretty sure the day I was due with the baby I lost. I had our baby in Oct. Good luck! I know how scary pregnancy is after a loss!

Congratulations, as someone who has never miscarried, pregnancy is a worrying time for me at best and can only begin to imagine how it must feel for you.

Congratulations Christina!!  When I was pregnant I lurked on pregnanvy messageboards all the time and I read many many stories of women that had successful cerclages.  Bed rest will be totally worth it and then you will have lots of time to go on the messageboards like I did!!

I have been waiting for you to show up here. lol I have been checking everyday, I was wondering what was taking you so long. Sorry I didn't get your card out in time for Christmas. Everything got so confusing with his dad passing. We just did the furneral yesturday. It was hard. BUT I am so happy to see you back. I still come here and check things out even though I will never be preggo again. I have been here for about 4 years and I just cant leave. lol Just remember, I will always be here for you no matter what my friend. praying daily for you!

I just read your previous posts and I am sitting here sobbing. I want to reach through my screen and hug you!! I am sorry for your loss, but I am so happy you have been blessed again!

As for the dates, I found out I was pregnant on July 28th 2007, ectopic rupture took place first weeks in August. I was given a 10% chance of ever having another baby. On july 28th, 2008 I got my BFP with my daughter. She was due the exact same date the previous pregnancy was (my birthday in fact)... She came 8 weeks early, but she is healthy happy little girl. I don't believe in coincedences ;)
