Blood pressure still dropping, and I am still fainting!

I am so frustrated with my body these days. After using two forms of BC, and still getting pregant so early out, I knew it woulnd't be easy. I didn't expect to have the issues I have had. I still have episodes of blacking out. Eyes roll in back of head, and down I go if DH doesn't grab me first. Always right after a meal, so its not delayed dumping (RH), and my blood sugar readings are in normal range. My blood pressure is low, usually 80/60 range. I have increased sodium, and no change.

My OB doesn't seem too concerned, and my surgeon says its pregnancy related since it started post baby... I really am at a loss for what to do. Do I get a new doctor? I am sure its partially my iron, I dry heave my iron tablets and cannot keep them down at all. Do I ask for iron infusions? How bold can I be with my Doctor? I have never been one to speak up and usually do as instructed but I know this cannot be right!

Any thoughts/tips/advice is welcome!

With my last pregnancy my blood pressure was just like that. Everything went ok. I was dizzy and lightheaded all the time. Once when I was in the hospital it was 67/45 and the nurse freaked out but the doc said its ok. So I learned to eat more often keep candy around and stand slow and not do too much when I felt that way. I hope it gets better for you. My baby girl was just fine and I was too

First of all.. Remember. You are paying these Dr's. If you have concerns about ANYTHING you speak up and speak up often and loudly. Sometimes Dr's get into the routine of doing this day in and day out that they wave away patient's concerns. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they miss something for awhile that you knew was off. Always be your own advocate.

Now on to BP issues. If you go from a laying to standing position always sit up first and stay there for a min or so. Dangle your feet off the edge of the bed before standing. Increase your fluids (I know it is hard).. can you tolerate gatoraide? Try g2 also for lower calories and sugar.

Sorry if you knew all this already. I hope it helps and at the very least your dr can give you more suggestions and what to do to reduce the effects.

UGH! I was lucky and didn't pass out from standing while pregnant. I have done that tho. I had to eat a hot dog and pack of ramen noodles everyday. I ate them for breakfast so I got it out of the way. I drank half a liter of gatorade a day PLUS at least two liters of water. I drank Smar****er since it has electrolites in it. It doesn't have enough salt in it so that's why the salty foods. I also saw my cardiologist while pregnant. I have to go back in June and that should be my last visit again. Good luck, I know this can be scarey.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
