Still early but lost weight?

Hi,

I tiny bit of background.... got PG with my daughter 3 months post surgery & lost weight the entire time then stablized to 225lbs the last 3 months.  I didn't 'pop' till then either.

I've gained some weight back the last year (been 5 years since the surgery) due to inactivity & job loss).  I just turned 11 wks (Sat) and so far, I have lost 6 lbs since I got PG.  I'm not vomiting (although I do admit to dry heaves), haven't lost my appetite (sp) for anything yet & eating when hungry, taking all my vitamins, etc.  I'm trying hard to get more water in but mostly drinking caffeine/decaf tea.

Do you think the baby is ok?  I know 'Junior' will take from me first.... just nervous I guess.   My size 16 jeans were always a little 'snug' and had a 'roll' since I still have the panni but I definitely have to either wear the 18's or do the rubber band trick.

So far the baby is measuring fine, seen & heard the heartbeat.  I just I'm just looking for any input at all.

Thanks!

Hello Neighbor!

The baby is most likely just fine! I started gaining weight as soon as I found out I was pregnant! Actually before I knew! I think my weight gain has a lot to do with lack of eating, and eating sugar due to my fear of the affects of artificial sweeteners on the baby. I had the dry heaves in the beginning and could not eat anything! I just kept taking my prenatal vitamins though and now the baby is actually measuring 4 weeks large! I can't wait to work out again as soon as I get the OK after baby is born!

I lost 8-10 pounds in my first trimester with these two I am pregnant with now. I have gained about 6 back this month I think my doc said something about everything running faster and burning more in the begining since your body is doing so much work making a placenta and all that good stuff. Last year in my pregnancy I lost more and did not gain till my last trimester. Everything was just fine

I lost weight well into my second trimester. My weight finally stabilized ~24 weeks and now I'm slowly gaining 1/2 to 1 lb a week. Baby is measuring several weeks larger than his gestational age, so everything is just fine.

My OB says not to worry about early weightloss unless you are underweight.
