Hey OH Buddies!

PCOS ladies & OH buddies that had an IUD then removed it for planning a pregnancy~

Since it took us more than 3.5 years to have our son; I am looking for personal stories about planning post op. Plus I am a bit older now.

I am 6 months post op from RNY. I know I have to wait at least 6 months so please no need in telling me to wait.

I just would like to hear stories and know it is possible~

I just wanted to say I didnt have an IUD removed, but stopped using protection and was pregnant the first month I tried after WLS (just about 1 year post op).  Prior to WLS I was told I would probably never have kids because of my PCOS and health problems.  I was married and tried for over 4 years to have a baby- no such luc****il after my WLS.  I have had three pregnancies (one was a m/c) since WLS.  I have health thriving kiddos.  Wishing you great sucess in the rest of your WLS journey and baby dust for the future.

I did not have an IUD removed, but we tried for 7 months to get pregnant. Then we did some research and used Pre-seed. We got pregnant the first month using that!

that pre-seed is some slick stuff... We tried it before (unsuccessfully) but we could only use 1/4 of it--waaaaay to slick...

 my iud came out dec 5th i have been bleeding since then and  have had to have 1 blood transfusion.... but i have the worst luck ever!

I had PCOS and never tried getting pregnant before WLS. I also only have one Fallopian tube. The first month we tried I got pregnant but ended up having a miscarriage. Tried for a few more months and found out my Thyroid was off. Got that under control and got pregnant the first time we tried. When I say first time I mean it. We had sex twice and I got pregnant. I just had my son 12 weeks ago. Oh and I was 37 when I got pregnant with Xavier.
