Hi everyone,
Just wondering how many of you exercise. I was pretty good at exercising prior to getting pregnant then came the morning sickness and fatigue. I have not been able to get back into it. How will not exercising affect my pregnancy?

I don't. I'll be honest with you. I was told not to in my first pregnancy because I was 7 months out and dropping weight fast while pregnant. When I got pregnant this time I started dropping weight fast again and they really don't like that. So I assume that moderate exercise would be good for you as long as you aren't still loosing... they tend to worry alot about that since it can cause problems....
That being said, I have NO energy... that could be part of it, but not exercising didn't cause me to gain weight (more than normal) or have high blood pressure or diabetes or anything.
I will say this though, getting out of the routine makes it harder to get back into after baby... not impossible, but harder.

I am trying hard to keep up with it. I've been exhuasted so far but am still trying to the Walk at Home routine every day. Realistically I'm averaging about every other day. :/
However I'll still consider it a "win" because prior to surgery me walking 6-8 brisk miles per week would NOT have happened! No way, no how!

im 3 months and just started walking on the treadmill im going slowly 2.2 miles per hr for 12 min a day working up to a full 30-45 per day as long as i can walk i will because its good for the baby and for me i have other health issues like diabetes, heart (went into a-fib and had to be converted that is how i found out i was pregnant lol) and high blood pressure ..not to mention im 37 this time around ..

Since my surgery, I am a gym rat and only really stopped for 3 awful weeks during my first trimester, when I had zero energy.
I have taken the last 2 weeks off the gym to spend with my son (he is 6 and the baby will be here next christmas so want to give him some full on loving.)
Other than that, I start back next week, I do spinning, turbo kick classes, weights and zumba and yoga. I want to keep my exercise and health routine as it would be all to easy for me to stop going and never go again.
As for not exercising, I just know from what I've read that continuing to exercise actually gives us more energy and makes for an easier time overall with pregnancy and labor.
Ultimately, if you've got fatigue and nausea, you're not fit for exercise. Everyone's pregnancy is different.
Hope this helps,
