Take Infant CPR

I just wanted to encourage all of you mom's & dad's to take infant CPR and safety. My hubby and I took it and this week I had to use it to revive my son four times. I was completely calm until I got to the hospital then fell apart. I actually just repeated what the class said and that was 7 months ago!

I pray you never have to use it but if you do, it could really safe a life of your baby, grand-baby, friends baby, or a strangers baby.

Holy Crap Traci! What happened?!?!

I hope everything is ok, CPR is super important and it can certainly save lives, as does the heimlick (sp?) manuver. I have been trained in it for years for work. It is super important.  :)

Again, I hope everything is ok and that you NEVER need to use it again. :)

Aiden is ok and on breathing treatments. Long story and a lot has happened this week.

I just wanted to come here to just remind mom's the importance to take that free class (or pay the $30-$50) for the class at the hospital. I never thought I would have to use it and I know that I saved our sons life.

Well I am sorry to hear that everything is not going smoothly for you as a new mom, but I am glad to hear that you were able to save his life and not panic especially.

It is very important to know CPR, it definately saves lives.

I hope that things go more smoothly for you and that you never have to use your CPR again.

Traci I hope Aiden is feeling better.  I am so sorry you had to use the cpr but so happy you knew what to do.  When Sage was a week old we found out she had sleep apnea.  A lady came over and taught me how to revive her.  I was fine the whole time she showed me and when she left I lost it.  It is so damn scary.  I hope Aiden is on an apnea monitor, gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me and hubby to sleep.  hope things start to look up for you guys very soon!

Oh no! I hope everything is ok with Aiden! I'm glad you knew what to do.

I've been wanting to do this. I could care less about lamaze or parenting classes, but I really want to learn CPR. I think I'll contact the hospital tomorrow and see if they have anything like that.
