Callen is here!

Well, we went in on December 23rd for our induction, and we had Callen Russell at 12:53 pm. They started the drugs and broke my water at 8:30, and I had roughly 2 hours of labour and then 2 hours of pushing. (Let me say, the Bradley book was a lifesaver) We don't have epidurals available in our hospital, so it realy helped me focus through the contractions.
Pushing, however, another story - not one I want to re-live soon!!!
Callen was 8lbs 2oz, and 21 inches long. He had a bit of trouble maintaining his body heat at first, then we had some problems with him not peeing enough. Now we just have to watch him close, and make sure he gets enough to eat. We are really, really struggling with breastfeeding right now, and we have had to supplement a bit, which really has made breastfeeding harder.
Otherwise he is a wonderful, beautiful fellow, and of course has us wrapped around his fingers already!!

Congrats!
Dont fret with the breastfeeding. It doesnt define you as a mom. Could be too that he just isnt liking your milk due to diet etc. He could be a little lactose intolerant. Just change your diet up a bit to see if that helps.
