Scared stupid?
Ok, so not officially stupid, but somedays I feel as though I have never done this before. I was unattached romantically when I had my VSG two years ago today!! YEAH! But, as God would have it, I met the man of my dreams and we were married in August...well, I knew the risks of becoming pregnanct were higher for me and we talked about it and then decided, what the hey, if it happens, ti happens, right? Well, my one and only child is 11 years old and will be 12 before BABY comes home, so it happened. The problem is, I didn't know about my first pregnancy until I was over 12 weeks pregnant the first time, due to many silly reasons...lol...but this time I knew less than a week into the pregnancy, yes less than a week, I am not lying...but, man am I scared about everything. A stitch in my side? Baby ok? am I eating the right things? My prenatal is making me sick and I don't take one everyday (dr oked this for now, as morning sickness is passing and I had AMAZING levels at last blood work), but will that hurt baby? What happens during birth? I am not having V-BAC, but a second c-section at dr.s request. So how will that affect my weight loss post baby? Am I gonna relapse the weight wagon?
As you can see, I am a ball of nervous energy and I just need to know that there are tons of happy, healthy mommies and babies out there post-VSG...especially since I was just under two years when I got pregnant...
Thanks!!

I had the RNy 2 years ago and we had to go thru fertility to get pregnant with my daughter who will turn 7 right after the baby is born...I could not ovulate and my husbnad had cancer and they told him it was a long shot...well this time we of coarse never used anything because we could not get preg on our own...oops!! I have only gained 9 lobs..I am 6 months pregnant..people say that my face and backside look thinner.....good luck!!

I say the weight is all something you can control to a point but just eat things you know are good. We had these surgeries to better our lives and we know what to do. That said eat something weekly for just you
those cravings or whatever. Its hard to be pregnant and not just eat whatever. With my 2 boys I never took prenatals.
That was before surgery but they are alright. I keep up with all my vitamins now. Just worry about weight fater you have the baby. Do walks and go back to basics from right after surgery and you should be fine

I am 1 yr post-op VSG & have a healthy, happy 6 wk old baby. Yes, I was 3 months post-op when I UNexpectedly became pregnant. I had a hard time gaining weight during my pregnancy & baby was a little small, but we are both doing fine now. It's really hard to compare because I was so early post-op, but you should do great. It is really reassuring that your labs were good pre-pregnancy. That definitely helps. I wish you the very best !!!
