Hi everyone!

I've been lurking on this forum and commenting here and there for the past few weeks, and I think I'm ready to formally introduce myself, lol.  I'm Emily and I'm 8 weeks preggers with my second child (my 3 1/2 yr old son was pre-op) and my DH and I are completely excited.   However, we were kind of freaked out at first since I am only 6 months out from surgery (surprise!).  Both my bariatric surgeon and my OB tried to calm us down and our first u/s at 7 weeks gave us a strong heartbeat, which helped as well, though we are still very nervous.

I also wanted to say that today is the first day in 3 weeks that I've been able to stomach more than a little soup....I've been SOOO sick with morning sickness and I've lost about 12lbs in the last two weeks.  Last night I took some Zofran that the doc prescribed and I can tell a world of difference!!!  I can actually function!!!

So, that's my story so far. :)  Happy Holidays to you all!

Congrats and welcome. If you are worried about getting enough calories, drink a couple protien shakes a day. This is a great group of ladies :)

Welcome and congrats!  I'm glad that you are working with both your bari surgeon and your OB since you're only 6 mos post-op.  Looks like you're doing really well on your weight loss goals (obviously the 12 lbs in the last 2 wks is not the choice way to go...)

This group of women on here are amazingly supportive.
Our little miracle baby boy is on his way!

CONGRATS!!!! Don't worry you'll be fine ,as I was only 6 months out when I found out too and now I'm 7 months pregnant and never felt better in my life. Baby is growing fine....as a matter of fact growing too fine because she was weighing 2lbs 8 oz at my 27 week and I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead. These ladies are so wonderful here and very welcoming, so if you have any concerns share them here and they'll immediately chime in to help or direct you in some way to an answer. Between my OB, Surgeon and these ladies....welll let's say I'm in great hands :)
