My fingers are turning blue

I noticed my fingers were looking a little blueish in color one night before I went to sleep.  I had been clothes shopping that evening and just thought some of the new clothes rubbed off on me.  Went to bed and thought nothing more of it.

The next morning I notice that they are still blue and seems to get worse when I move around and get out of breath.  I'm kinda freaking out here.

So I drive to work and after walking up the stairs I sit down on my desk and my fingers are black/blue.  Now I am really freaking out.  I show my assistant who sits next to me and she starts freaking out.

She takes me to the Dr. all the while I am waiting I am thinking the worse.  OMG what could be happening.  They check my blood pressure and its okay.  They check my oxygen levels and they are okay.  My pulse is kinda fast, but that's to be expected since I am really scared.  They ask me if I have gestational diabetes I tell them no I just had it checked last month and my levels were good.  All the while, my fingers are turning from light blue to blue/black.

Finally another nurse comes in with a cotton ball and alcohol and proceeds to wipe my fingers and low and behold ink starts coming off.  OMFG I am so embarrassed.  It was ink from my new maternity blouse I had purchased the night before and had not washed.  I was relieved, but felt like an ass and could not understand why it got worse after I walked up the stairs.  Nurse said probably because my hands got a bit sweaty and brought the color out.

There's my funny, scary, stupid story.  Hope it made some of you laugh.

Merry Christmas.

OMG - That is TOO funny.  Bet you'll never live that down in your dr office.  Hope they had a good sense of humor about it too.  At least there's nothing wrong though!

That is a great story! At least you went in and it was something stupid instead of something very serious! That must be a really dark shirt!

LOL, Yes, it's a black shirt.  Funny thing when I got home and took it off, my white bra was black.  Wish I would have noticed that before I went to the Dr's.
