Well our sweet little boy made his debut on Dec 17. I went for my NST test and he was not having accelerations so they sent me to L&D to be monitored. So just to recap I had been 4cm 80% and -3 station for a week. I had bloody show two days before. I already had an appt with my OB right after my NST so I knew at least I would find out if we had made progress.
So went to L&D and the midwife on call checked me and told me I was exactly the same. I was having contractions on the monitor so they did urine and said they would watch me for a bit. Well urine came back that I had a bladder infection. She said that was the reason for the contractions. She gave me IV fluids. In this time my OB came in to see me there and she asked if I wanted her to check me and strip my membranes again. I said yes and so that threw me into labor. I started having contractions that were a lot stronger. The next time I was checked I was at 5cm and 100%.
They checked me in and started a little pitocin. I got my epidural and I felt really good. Next check I was 6 to 7 cm and they broke my water. In 1 1/2 hours after that I started having rectal pressure so they checked me. I was ready to push. I pushed for 20 min and out came my handsome boy. He is 7lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. He came out rooting around and ready to breast feed. He is doing great nursing is going really well.
On to the good stuff Pics.....
