I demanded some answers from my OB. He says that basically he is the dr and HE knows whats best...
I told him that I felt that he and his staff were NOT listening to me about my leaking fluid, funky discharge and how I am feeling...
NOW get this part....
HE DISCHARGED ME FROM HIS PRACTICE!!!!!!35/36wks and they discharged a "high risk" pregnancy...******g *******s!!! i am sorry I have had to fight for quite a few years to get where I am today with weightloss surgery, (talking insurance companies), to needing a hernia surgery just to be told by the surgeon i was to fat to even have it, yes he said FAT and to him it would be a waste of time...
THIS isnt the first run in I have had with his practice and how they have treated me, me being who i am i give everyone time to prove to me that first impressions arent lasting...i have faith that things will change and be good....
NOT THIS TIME!!!!!!!
Asked them WHY they didnt listen to me, "oh because what you have described to us is normal in our eyes" well it isnt for me...discharges, gooshes of fluid and blood, not feeling right, having contractions DUE TO dehydration etc...Everytime I would call and describe i get 'oh thats normal" and today he tells me that they dont even think it was fluid coming out but discharge..um im sorry i know the difference between discharge and fluid leakage...
the ONLY reason WHY I went to that practice is because my PCP said she trusted them in case ANYTHING would come up they would be all over it...i got a 15minute apology from her and her office manager today for the way they have treated me over there...i have a phone call going out to the "major complaint" dept of this hospital/

It depends on your state. If I were you I would at least contact a lawyer and see if you have grounds to sue. (if money is an issue, some areas have free legal adivce or "ask a lawyer" services).
It's not right to drop a pregnant woman so close to delivery and they should be held accountable for their actions.

Wow... I'm so sorry that happened! You know from experience that you need to be your own advocate - especially if you had to fight for your WLS approval and a hernia surgery too?! OK... Find a new OB stat! Then I agree... go talk to a lawyer. But first things first... you & your baby need a new doctor now.
Try to calm down... do a little yoga or meditation to help calm yourself down. Getting completely stressed out and pissed off over this can be a bad thing for you given you are so close to delivery.

You used a swear word? LOL - girl...you need to come hang out with me...I'll teach you to swear so well your mom's toes will curl.
I'm sorry your dr is such a jerk. Have your PCP help you find another dr ASAP. I would also contact your state's medical board (whatever they're called) and ask them what the rules/laws in your state are regarding discharging a patient so close to their due date....and w/o giving any heads up (ie telling you they're going to discharge you and you have two weeks to find a new dr).
Good luck. Focus on you and your baby for now. Getting the care you're going to need is the most important thing.

I will update as to what was all said and done Monday afternoon. Lets just say being an ex military wife, you learn to get crap done on your time....
Bottom line, the OB office has alot of explaining to do to the person I talked too...
Friday the 10th..LIKE oh I dunno, why they told me my BP was 140/90 had me lay on my side to retake it and never came in to take it. OR the fact that the DR put the wrong due date in that made me measure SMALL at that appt...and told me my FLUID ws perfect...and had Periontologist appt that weds and he had next to none in his sac? OR how about the fact that the periontologist had ti written down and TOLD four people in the room that day, what he wanted my dr todo..
OR the fact that I have been telling them for the past 2months that i felt like i was "gooshing" fluid and they passed it off as everyday typical pregnancy symptoms...which would explain WHY i was having contractions off and on through out the last couple of months just to be told by his office that they were BH...hello 7th pregnancy, 3M/c, and 4soon to be live births, I think I know the difference....the person I talked too, yeah she was very concerned about my treatment and she asked me what she could do to smooth it over because she doesnt want me to be without care...she then informs me that that POLICY for their WHOLE facility is that the dr has to treat me for 30days after being "discharged"....and they cant just up and cut me out...She said if they couldnt rectify this what did i want her to do? FLat out told her, she better hope to god and everything holy that NOTHING happens to me OR my child or I will be more than happy to sue. VERY happy to sue...she of course, "OH NONONO! we dont want that! Let me talk to them on monday come in for your ultrasound and NST and we will ahve them talk to you then!" im like oh so they can gang up on me? Like they have every other time? She then tells ME, well you know, they are the dr's and they do know more than you and what is best for you and your baby...IM like oh so you pulled that card did you? DID YOU NOT JUST ******G HEAR ME WHAT I JUST TOLD YOUO HAPPENED?!?!
I know this may sound selfish etc, but I really hope to hell this storm that is suppose to hit hits hard so i dont have to go tomorrow just so i can hear this persons response etc...
