Butt "up" pressure
Ok I know the subject sounds funny, but it's exactly what it says....has anyone else had the baby be butt up and pushing up so hard it hurts? Landen has been and still is butt up, face down and in just the past few weeks I've been feeling extreme pressure above my belly button- he tends to migrate to my right side as well. Does anyone have any tips on how to ease the pressure or get him to subside and move back down. It almost feels like he's fully extended and using my bladder as a pushing pad and pushing his butt as far up into me as he possibly can. It's some times to the point where it's almost painful! I've been rubbing and giving a few soft taps with my finger and he usually eases up, but there are days when he pushes up on me for what seems like hours. Thanks for your any info you might have or can offer girls!!
PS...tomorrow's my 3d ultrasound and kind of looking forward to a more "official" confirmation that it's in fact a boy because the attitude of my 21 week tech and the pics were pretty evident and all, but she was kind of snippy and said "well, i can't say for sure because it's still early, but I would go with boy!" ugh these techs sometimes!

I don't know what position my baby is in, but I get these sharp "pulling" pains behind my belly button ALL the time. Especially in the evening. It literally feels like she's grabbing on to the inside of my belly button and pulling it inward, LOL.

Do you know what position your placenta is? I 'm asking because if you're anterior it could actually be baby pulling on her umbilical cord! LOL I was so clueless on what position baby was in until my appointment on Monday and I asked the dr what the hardness above my belly button was and she laughed and said "hunny, that is baby, butt up and pushing outward on your uterus!" I was like sorry pardon me for not knowing LOL it was an older OB from the practice and first time I met her, but she was kind of funny and gave me some actual info I thought was helpful! :)
That's weird Mandy cause I get that same sensation all the time too. I tell my husband it feels like maybe she's turning around or something and she's taking all my insides with her in the turn. It feels like a lot of pressure and it's always in the evening when I've settled down. It feels like a pulling..Hmmmm.

Get down on your hands and knees and rock back and forth. It gives the baby the most room to move around and normally what is uncomfortable for you isn't really great for him either. it works for me most of the time when Keiran's trying to come up through my ribcage. He likes to put one part (i'm pretty sure he's head down now) on my cervix or hip bone and another up against my ribs and stretches as far as he can. I am so looking forward to eviction day!
Good luck!

That's exactly the same feelings I'm having!! My uterus isn't quite up to my rib cage just yet, but sometimes it sure feels like he's trying to make his exit through my ribs/ lungs instead of coming out from the bottom. I measured a few weeks ahead at my appointment this week and the Dr seems to think that this little one is going to be a "long" baby and is hence another part of the reason why I'm feeling him trying to stretch out more.
I'm so going to give this a try the next time he starts his daily stretching routine on me!! It feels like he's trying to say "Momma there's just not enough room in here for me to get comfy!!" And I keep thinking to myself ok I feel huge so how doesn't he have any room. I have my 3d ultrasound today at 4, so in about 8 hours we'll get to see exactly how the munchkin is positioned= although I'm pretty sure she's right and he hasn't really moved around too much on me.
Thanks so much!! Hope this helps me some for sure :)
