High Heart Rate!!

I just got back from a visit to my Chiropractor, since I have been having bad headaches over the weekend.  I mentioned that my neck hurt a little when I looked up so I asked if I had any swollen glands that would cause that.  After he checked he said "WOW your heart is beating fast" so he did the time check and said it was between 105 & 110 beets a minute.  He promptly took my blood pressure but that was ok at 102 / 74.  I have a desk job and have not been overly active so that should not cause my heart rate to increase.

I have already called and left a message with the W.H.N.P. that works with my OB Dr since he is not in clinic today.  I also have an OB appointment first thing in the morning.  I was just a little nervous / worried with my pulse being so high.  Has anyone else had this happen or experienced anything like this???

Your pulse does tend to run a little higher in pregnancy because of the extra blood you're pumping. You did the right thing by calling your provider though, since you're concerned. Sit and relax and try not to worry :)

My pulse was always high too. They never mentioned that it was an issue and my blood pressure during my last pregnancy was fine the whole time too.

Um this may sound stupid but the first few times I went to a chiropractor, my heart was beating a mile a minute because I was afraid he was going to snap something. I hear way too many snap crackle and pops (not to mention grinding) in those exam rooms so I was nervous. It's hard to "relax" when you know someone is going to manuvering your skeleton around.

i have this issue to. pulse is realy fast and i can usualy feel my heart beating out of my cheast. dr. said tacy cardia was normal during pregnancy and so long as it wasnt causing any problems ided be fine since if he sent me to a cardialogist i couldnt/ wouldnt take the meds any ways. so so long as your not having serious problems from the increase pulse just chalk it up to another blessing of being pregnant.

Thank you for the response ladies.  My pulse was back down to 84 at my check up today and the Dr. didn't seem to worried about it at this time.  It could of been nerves about  being adjusted.

The baby's heart rate was around 150 today, not sure about my weight loss at least I was only down 1 pound this time.  Dr said I should start gaining from here on out.  I scheduled my ultrasound today, we can't wait to find out what we are having.

Thanks again for your response.
