Does anyone know is an 18 week scan roughly the time when they can tell the sex of the baby ??

Becky, I was told the sex at my 16 week scan. I'm sure they can tell you at 18 weeks. Remember the sex determination scan is only as accurate as the person who's reading it. Caution as my first gender determination scan I was told it was a boy but every scan I've had thereafter I saw and it was determined 99% it's a girl.

ohh, thanks for taking the time to answer Gina - I'll keep that in mind, lol. Congratulations on your girl x I am just 12 weeks tomorrow, so still a while to find out. I already have a boy and would love a girl but just want to be prepared. (start shopping) hahahha x

Yay for Team Pink Pink! congrats!  I'm hoping for a girl and my DW is hoping for a boy.  At this point, we're still praying for a healthy pregnancy. :-)

Thanks everyone! I am very excited. We have our official scan on the 29th to make sure. We went to this place with Hayvann and they were right and from what i see I see girls too but we are not positive till we get another scan by another place by a different person. With all the mistakes people make we want at least a double opinion. Yet since we have Hayvann at least clothes and all wont be a problem. My sons are just happy cause they wont have to play barbies and all. LOL. BOYS! I love my boys very much and I really feel lucky no matter what happens!
