Wanna take bets on how many? Moms of Multiples ...

Okay, It could be nothing, but yesterday, I saw a PA with VERY basic US skills who checked baby's growth at 12 weeks (internally with my buddy THE WAND). Baby is measuring 11 w 5 d, perfect. However ... she didn't listen for heartbeat because baby was so clearly active. NOW, here's the deal. On the first US at 7 weeks, we heard one heartbeat and saw one little lima bean with wings. Check this out ... if you look at baby here, you can clearly see head and baby in that lovely alien stage. Now, look just below baby, and you can see what appears to be a foggy mirror image of another head and belly of the same size.
Am I imagining things, or does that thing look like a baby?
Is it possible there would be another nugget and not be able to clearly see the sac?
Am I going crazy (NOT a far drive)?
Someone told me there can be shadows of the baby on the US ... I didn't think it was very well lit in there ...

Opinions? Anyone want to take bets? Next US is in four weeks.

You girlies are funny ... 15 of you have read this and NO ONE wants to tell me I'm nuts!?

Fine, I'll say it your nuts! LOL

Just kidding of course!!! I am thinking just 1 but it is a refraction of the ultrasound. There were a few times I saw "matrixing" on my US too.

Good luck hun!

Matrixing? Good to know! I will do some research on that! I also just sent it to a doula & birth teacher and she said that a black sac would be visible if it were two. I just thought it would be fun to see what you all said! Good to hear from you ... that baby sure is a cutie! How is it going at work?

Matrixing is just when your eye interprets things as something else because it looks similar.

Work is well work! lol Thanks :) Mia is amazing :)

I say just one.

With my twins I had a lot of ultrasounds and it was very obvious that there were two in there.

I say probably just one, since I had a ton of u/s when the triplets where that little and every baby was easily indentified in their own sac at that stage. BUT I have to say that if it was me I would wonder too because it does look like a baby!
