OK... I'm freshly pg... 5w2d... and I'm super tired already.  I have a couple friends who are PG (non-wls) and they are tired a lot but they didn't start feeling this tired until they were a little further along... like at least 10 wks or so.  Anyone else feel more tired than usual early on in their pregnancy?
I'm soooooo ready... zzzzzzzzzzzz

I was EXHAUSTED even before I got my BFP.  I was very, very tired until about 11 weeks.  The last 3 I have felt much better.  You are completely normal! Hang in there....it will get better!!

Have you had your iron level checked recently? Some fatigue is normal, bu extreme tiredness/low energy may be the results of low iron.

My iron was last checked at my 1 yr post-op - blood drawn in early Aug.  I'm taking iron daily.  I have my 1st appt w/my OB and I'll bring it up to her.  Actually already part of my plan to discuss frequent labs and for my bari surgeon, nutritionist, and OBGYN to talk often.  It's a team effort...  Go Team Baby Eisenhart!  LOL

oh... and I guess I wouldn't call it "extreme tiredness" at this point.  I'm still working w/no problem.

I was EXHAUSTED for my entire first trimester. I'd come home from work and immediately go to bed, LOL. It gets better in the second trimester.

My first trimester was tiring for me as well. I would put the girls on the bus and almost have to lay back down to get a little more sleep. The worst part was I don't think I saw 9pm in my first trimester. I certainly does let up in the second trimester I think. My energy levels seemed to increase almost back to normal...now, I'm starting to wake up 5-8 times a night to either change positions or use the restroom and I'm finding yself taking more and more npas again throughout the day. Hang in there!!

In both my pregnancies, the first trimester was the hardest!  It's amazing that a little sesame seed size baby can make you feel like you've been beaten up!
