Scary morning

Well yesterday i started with pretty bad nausea...left to go home early and I pretty much ate nothing all day. Woke up this morning and felt a lil better so I decided to shower for work...first mistake! Second mistake was not opening the door while I was brushing teeth and putting in contacts....got second contact into my hand and I got super nauseous and all of a sudden my vision went completely black! I felt myself fall to the ground while I yelled for help...about 30 seconds later the vision started to come back...I was sweating and I was crying....

Needless to say...they think that due to the stomach bug yesterday and the lack of food my blood pressure and blood sugar dropped due to the heat....not fun!

On the brightside...they did an ultrasound and I got to see my baby with a nice fast heartbeat! He/she is doing great! Measuring one day off at 7 weeks exactly!

Just thought I would share my odyssey....stomach bug + bypass+ pregnancy = not a good mix!

Just wanted to caution you that sometimes people think they have the stomach bug- but the nausea (could be MS) and faiting can easily be signs that your blood sugar.  I had normal BS but when I am pregnant I get low BS in the beginning...Hope your feeling better and take care of you & baby

How scary!!! I'm glad you're OK. Hopefully it wasn't anything longer than just a bug and you won't go through this again. No fun!

I am glad you are alright. I have to eat every hour and drink tons and stay cool. You will get used to it lol

The exact same thing happened to me. I didn't have a stomach bug, though... I just didn't have dinner one night. Then the next day I got up and took a shower, got super hot and sweaty and nauseous, and blacked out.
