I haven't been here in ages, but a message to those worried about weight gain
I had my surgeries split up. Not because I had to, but it just so happened to save me $2,000 to do so. So my surgeries were 3 weeks apart. I do NOT recommend this at all!!!!!! BIG MISTAKE
For me, I don't think my body could handle all the surgery in such a short period of time. The TT seemed like a breeze and I had no issues with recovery. My few hour breast lift turned into an almost 11 hour surgery because I was so "in shape" as the Dr. put it. I haven't been the same since
Then my entire house got hit with the stomach flu and I have yet to recover. So as far as the pain goes from the surgeries, yes, it's still there, but nothing too terrible at this point. I was on a lift restriction with the kids and could not pick them up until just last week. So be prepared to not be able to lift your child AT ALL. I had a double hernia repair in addition to the TT so my lift restrictions were pretty set in stone.
It's taking me forever to recover from this flu because I cannot keep anything down and it's a terrible cycle. This also makes my surgery recovery twice as hard. You will heal faster if you get your protein in, something I clearly cannot do right now and I am feeling it, or lack of it. Just call me exhausted.
Just take your pain meds religiously. Don't be a hero and not take them. If you run out and need more, don't be a hero again and call your Dr and get more. You will probably need to be on them for at least a week if not a full two weeks. Ask for valium too because it helps with the muscle spasms.
Be prepared for your little one to be pissed off at you, but I promise you it goes away. As soon as I was able to hold my kids again they forgave me. LOL
Lots of luck to you. : )
