Issues eating....
I am having a real problem with eating...I had this issue for about a year after my bypass...was dx. with anorexia. So now I am 23 weeks pregnant..unplanned and as of about 3 days ago, I am strarving and then when I get the food in front of me, I could vomit. I make myself eat and them I am so sick ..my heart beats real fast and I feel crummy for the next few hours. Any help would be great! Thanks

I'm only 13 wks, but from what my Dr tells me, FEELING starving is good. I never feel starving. I crave things, but one bite and I'm done. I've gained 2 lbs and I should be at 4 lbs.
As far as the vomiting, some foods speed up your metabolism. My go-to food has been Ritz crackers with cheese slices. The crackers settle my tummy and the cheese slices is my protein. Also, I've been sucking on peppermint sticks or candies and drinking peppermint tea. It has decreased any nausea. I know you're at a different stage...but...maybe this will help.

Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.
My very first thought was "are you in counseling of any kind?" It is sooo important to deal with your food issues while you are pregnant. And, while you only need to increase your calories 300-500 per day, that's assuming that you are eating the right amount to begin with. You really need to address the disorder as you will need your energy to grow a happy and healthy baby, and also so you have enough energy and good health to take care of her when she is born. Anemia is really serious, and malnutrition can cause TONS of problems with labor, delivery, birth, and seriously affect the baby's health. Please address this with a professional ... Good luck, and take care of yourself!
