M/S - Dry heaves anyone?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone is getting nausea & dry heaves as 'morning sickness'?  Mine is only once or twice a night and I'm not talking dumping.  I try to keep water in me and eat when hungry (which some days is all the time).   Basically I eat when 'baby' tells me it's hungry but still every couple hours.  I'm only 8 wks along (today) and know it will pass soon enough but I can't really compare it to my other pregnancy as I was almost 3 months out when I got pg.

Sometimes I dry heave so hard that... if I have anything in my bladder... look out.

Guess I just wanted to see if I was alone on this....

nope your not...
I would heave it up and pee at the sametime... sat on the potty with a bowl in front of me...just remember couple more weeks. =)
If it gets to bad might wanna talk to the dr about giving you an antiemetic, and if it gets really bad there is a "helper" take Unisome or tylenolPM. Its oldie but goodie cure all. ALSO you can also take your Tums or whatever antiacid they have you on.
BEFORE anyone starts saying crap about the unisom and tylenol, it is perfectly safe. The "sleepy stuff" in them helps settle your tummy down so you dont have to puke all the time. Plus it will help you sleep when you get anxious, oh and its nothing but basically benedryl that are in there to makeyou sleepy anyways.

Good Luck!!

I used to take my trash can to the bathroom with me so I could avoid an accident. If I didn't have it, I used toilet paper to catch the drool. I was hospitalized from my m/s. I woke up one morning and it was gone. That was at 12 weeks.

I am now 15 weeks pregnant, and my morning habit is get out of bed, rush to the bathroom, grab my puke bucket and sit down... that way I'll have something to dry heave into (catch the drool I guess) while everything else erm... flows. I have a history of severe morning sickness, but it's good now - except first thing in the morning, then I take 2 zofran and I'm good the rest of the day... just have to snack every 2 hours. It settles... eventually! Promise!

Only in the evenings do I throw up anything and that's right after I eat, IF it doesn't agree with me.  I dry heave as I'm driving to work, now completely confident that I won't toss any cookies.

Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.
