Rhogam shot

got my rhogam shot today and i was a little mad at my mom whose a nurse told me it was an arm shot come to find out it was a "hip shot" i put that in qutoes cause it was more my but then my hip. it wasent that bad a quick poke and i was on my way after filling out all the paper work at the hospital. ive decided that it is probably a good thing i am changing doctors because my doctor wants to charge for every little thing. i gave him my fmla papers to fill out for work and his receptionist called me today to tell me they were ready and it would be 25 dollars. i was completly shocked thank goodness today was pay day and black friday was on this pay check. it just seems my doctor chargers for everything he dosent wana do but has to do. im on a tight budget and having to pay for paperwork that has to be done is rediculous. well just a quick update on me. everyone have a good weekend.

I think every nurse is different. I got a few of mine over the years in my arm and in my behind. lol. Same with my b12 shots. Have one nurse who always gives it in the behind but one who knows I prefer the arm. I dont like docs who charge for everything either!

Do you qualify for medicaid?  I lost my health insurance when I was 9 months preggo and picked up medicaid right away, everything was free including my delivery, urine tests, blood tests, epidural, c-section, hosptial stay.  And I kept my same dr's.  Just a thought.  Glad your shot wasn't too bad.

My dr charges $20 for any type of form to be filled out. Luckily I'll only have the short term disability one for them to do.

Glad you got the shot- sorry it was in your butt! Luckily I don't need one, I'm kind of through with needles! lol

Take care!!!

I have gotten them in my butt and arm.

And not to be a heartless b*tch but Medicaid is NOT free; you may not pay for your testing/US/delivery but someone has to and its hard working tax payers like myself pay. And believe me I don't mind helping people.

@ karen i am on medicade had to get on it when i lost my insuarance at 24 from my moms job. everything but my paper work is at no cost for me. but like my doctor said i pay for it with my job since it gets taken out with taxes. @ tracey i dont think ided be mad at the fact he charges for forms if i was just told about it up front instead it just came as a big suprise when the nurse called to tell me they were ready.
I guess if my lil girl turns out to be positive ill be ready for the next shot at least i know were it gose now.
