Super-Sonic, Epic, and Unique Gift Ideas for DH?
Hi all,
Well, I know it's off-topic, but I have a feeling that I am not the only one struggling with this, so I thought I would post and pick your brains!
Like many of you, I have an amazingly supportive DH. He works sooo hard for us, traveling four days a week for work so that we can have the life we do and save for me to be a SAHM. He never complains (unless I really get under his skin and push him too far), he gives selflessley every day, always finds a way to get Lyd and I the things we *want* - not just the things we need, and I KNOW he makes sacrifices and goes without things that I never even find out about.
I would really love to make his holidays special, and here's where you come in!
What have you done for the men in your lives who support you? DH is such a simple man, he never asks for anything ... and the last things he needs are more golf gift cards, boxers, clothes, or coffee mugs. What can I do this year to really show him how much we love and appreciate him?

First thing you need to do is get some really pretty note paper and write down everything you just said in a letter to your DH! Sign it from you and Lyd (use the non-toxic non staining ink pads they sell at craft stores to put Lyd's handprints on it as her signature!), my husband always writes me letters and leaves them in fun places for me to find, and it always means so much to me, more then any gift ever could. He puts one in my Christmas stocking every year, its my favorite part of Christmas morning!
As for a gift gift, I have no idea, I am horrible at that kind of thing. I always just wait for DH to hint at something, or I go to the old fall back and get him a bushel of tickets to his favoirte triple A baseball team.

my boyfriend was drooling over a helicopter display set up at the mall. The cheapest there were a couple hundred dollars; I found this one on amazon with really good reviews that I figure he could play with (and crash and destroy till he gets the hang of it then if he likes it we can get an expensive one). I have to admit it looks fun to me too. I paid $28 through amazon; looks like that is out of stock but can be ordered from a different seller for about the same price.
