Cervix check

My doctor want's to check my cervix length by ultrasound in two weeks it was 2.7 cm long and I guess they want to make sure it is not getting shorter?

Anyone experience this?

With my twins, I had my cervix checked every visit with ultrasound.

It's odd that they would check your cervix this early if you're not having issues.

I had a LEEP procedure around 5 years ago I think that's why they checked it...

Make sure to do this.  I lost my baby at 22 weeks due to weak cervix/incompetent cervix.  They can put a cerclage in to close the cervix off if they catch it early enough.  Do that exam asap!  How sure how far along you are but once you get past 16 weeks the pressure can weaken the cervix and cause it to shorten and dialate.  It is a very real thing and I have seen it happen to a few of us after our surgerys.  Let me know how it turns out.
