Have to tell someone!!!!
Ok I have to tell someone. I had the DS in 2007. My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months for our first child. I was supposed to start AF two days ago. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday morning and this morning...both were positive. :-) I am going to get a blood test done, probably on monday.
I could not be more thrilled.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
My husbands birthday is in 5 days and I thought that would be the best b-day present to give him. So I went to the store and bought two little baby bottles (one blue and one pink), a binkie, a little bottle of baby lotion and a little bottle of J&J baby wash, and a little car sign that says baby on board. Each was only 99 cents. I am either going to put them all together in one bag of split it up into a couple bags (haven't decided which yet).
Anyways...I am so excited and want to tell him right now...but I keep thinking how great it would be to tell him on his birthday. He is going to have a very hard day at work that day so I figured it would be the best end to the day.
I had to tell someone! I figured that my husband and I will talk about when to tell the rest of our family. But I think that would be a really awesome christmas present...give the grandparents to be a copy of the first ultrasound pic or ornaments that say world's best grandparents or something. Maybe...right now I kind of just want to tell everyone...what do you all think?

First of all, CONGRATS!!!! It is hard not to tell the world, some people prefer to wait til the 2nd trimester. Me & my husband couldnt hold it in any longer when we found out because we had tried for 5 years and had done fertility treatments also with no success. We had given up and quit trying, I lost 145bs with my lap band and were going through a custody battle for my bonus child (step son). We found out we were pregnant April 19th, and won custody of my bonus child on May 12th. So we have been blessed to the extreme this year!!
Wishing You a healthy & happy 9 months!!

Congrats Kimber!!!!! OMG! I'm so happy for you guys and holding the news until his birthday is a great idea. I remember when I got pregnant with my first we had been trying for over 4 years and when I tested positive I had to scream it on the mountain top. I couldn't hold such news for 2nd trimester considering how long we had been trying....so I understand your joy and desire to tell the world. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Congrats! Make sure you have the camera handy to get a snap of the look on his face when he opens the gift - we want to see too! Re when to tell the rest of the world - that's a decision you two have to make on when you're comfortable telling.
I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

I would do both. They have an ornament that says something like christmas on the way with a frame where we put the ultrasound pic...Just and idea.. Lots of luck and God bless you and your little one. Life is about to get very different.....and very wonderful!!!
