Frustrated w/AF - or lack thereof!

OK ladies - give me your knowledge.

I had my D&C on 9/15/10...AF came exactly on schedule 10/15/2010, lasted the normal amt of time...since then...nada...she's about 11 days late now and no sign of coming.  I took a test and it's negative - which I expected, because we did not try last month.  We were supposed to wait two cycles before starting again.  I'm supposed to start daily lovenox injections before getting pg (as in when my cycle starts again) to see if that makes any difference - but I can't do anything until she deigns to make her presence known.

Any clues on why she'd be so late?  As a rule, I'm never late...I'm like clock work.  So WTF is going on this time?! 

I'm figuring I'll give her a day or two more then call the dr and see what she has to say...but wanted to see if anyone else had any input?

Hello there ... I really don't have any reasons for you other than that your body just went through a fairly traumatic event, physically and emotionally, and it may take some time to recover. I know this is frustrating for you ... I hope things regulate soon. :-)

Thanks.  It's just screwing me up because w/all my previous mc (w/o D&C), my cycle started back up and STAYED started up on schedule...

I agree w/Pirate Mommy.  Your body just went through something that it did not want to experience - physically or emotionally.  So be gentle with your body... she needs some time to recover too.  Take this time to give your body the love and nurturing that she needs.  She'll be back to "normal" in no time and she'll be ready to hold and nurture the precious gift that is your child very very soon.

I've been thinking - when I went in for my one month check up after the D&C, she said that I had a small cyst on one of my ovaries - she said it was almost too small to even be a cyst but more like a follicle - and that was on the first day of my first cycle after the D&C.  If that has now grown to a full-blown cyst, wouldn't that stop my cycle until it goes away?  I'm now day 44, and I never have cycles this long, and though I know it's after the D&C, since my cycle had already started back up on schedule, that's what's throwing me off.  I'll call the dr Monday to talk to her and see what she says...but I have a feeling that that's what it is. 

Thanksgiving was good.  There's a couple here who was posted to Kiev, Ukraine, at the same time we were, and we went over to their house.  They're originally from Pakistan, so the wife cooked turkey the Pakistani-style (ie cut it off the bones and cooked it in a few different Pakistani dishes...VERY spice, but good).

Hope yours was good and that the kids enjoyed all the foods!

 

Maybe the follie was growing and just running later because of the d&c. Have you been doing opk??
