OT- Christmas Shopping?

Ugh, Christmas is just over a month away... I can't believe it! And to make matters worse, I HATE shopping this time of year, and I'm never smart enough to do it in the off-season. LOL

What are you ladies asking for this year, and what are you getting for your significant others?

I'm doing all of my shopping online because I refuse to set foot in any establishment where I have to worry about being trampled to death for a "doorbuster" deal and I'm definitely not camping out!

So far, I've purchased a new digital camera. I'm pretty stoked about this one! It's 14mp with a 26x zoom and was less than $150! We are in dire need of a new camera before the baby arrives, so I was able to justify it.

It's a Kodak Z981. I have had 3 Kodak digital cameras and have loved them all! The one I have right now is awesome, but it only has 8 megapixels so you can't crop and zoom without compromising the clarity. I bought the new camera from Office Max... it's regularly $300, but it had a $100 instant rebate, and I had a coupon for $50 off a purchase of $200 or more.

That's great!  I like Kodaks too.  Just upgraded my kodak for a Canon powershot sx30is and I love it.  It's an advanced point and shoot, a cross between a digi and a SLR.  I am getting my hubby a kindle ereader and a leather coat.  I have no idea what I want for xmas so he is going crazy trying to figure something out lol

I have been contemplating getting my husband a Kindle, too. It seems like all he ever does is read, so it would be a good investment, and really cut down on the amount of books we have lying all over the house.

I don't know what I want for Christmas, either!!

We are having a baby for Christmas LOL so we have decided that was a pretty dang good present this year. We will travel in May to see family on the West Coast and plan on staying at the beach a couple days so will "gift" ourselves with some spols then!

Oh, man! I totally agree. There is NO deal good enough for me to be out on Balck Friday. And, I heard the online deals are just as great, so me and the Visa will be kickin it next to the laptop tomorrow. Good times. In terms of what I want this year ... I am sooo boring and SUCH a mom. I want a double stroller for when this kiddo comes, so I asked for gift cards, and gift certificates for pedicures, too. Pretty exciting stuff, right? For my DH, he is sooo hard to buy for! I'm stuck! I think we may do the paint your own ceramics thing, and I got him some nice Tommy Bahama T shirts ... again ,thrilling. haha. We are scaling back big time this year ... we had a major death this year, and so I think our priority is more on the time together than anything else. I do love Christmas though!

You know, I'm a lot like you in that I don't really feel the need to have a lot of "stuff". Your idea of the pedicure gift certificate is a really good one; I may ask for the same thing. Having an hour to pamper myself will be worth its weight in gold later on.

It's always nice to get a "fun" gift... but sensible gifts are much better because we'd end up spending money on that stuff anyway!

All year long, I stalk the clearance racks and grab things to put away for someone for the holidays. That saves a ton of $$ (and makes me look like a generous aunt/wife/daughter, ect)
I also bought almost everything else on Amazon. I think they have the best prices and I always spend enough to get the free shipping. Nothing is easier than answering the door in your bathrobe to a box of Christmas presents that you just have to wrap (and yes I buy only dollar store wrapping paper, lol)
The, we splurge on Broadway tickets to a play and dinner to a nice restaurant in NYC around Christmas. But I can totally justify it, from scrimping on everything else.  This year we are taking my daughter to Mary Poppins and then the Top of the Rock. Totally worth seeing the awe in her face every year.
