charlie horses
first try this
sit in a chair stretch you leg out in front of you. not lifted in the air but resting you heel on the ground toes pointed up. then slowly point your toe toward the ground with out bending you leg or lifting it.
this will stretch the muscle and help relieve the pain.
If that won't help. you my need to call you obgyn it is possible that the baby is setting on a nerve and pinching it . That can be very painful too.

Go and have your Potassium levels checked....might be low and might need a K+ pill and they are safe to take have to take 6 of em a day myself.
NOW to counteract a horse, extend your leg out and "flat foot it". Take your thumb and press into the center of the charlie horse until it releases, your body will let you know when it does. (i am a massage therapist), YES it will hurt but it will be insta relief afterwards. THEN ask your SO into rubbing your lower back above your hip bone and rub your tailbone in clockwise motion to help warm those nerves up to help relax your lower back and butt so it will help loosen your muscles going into your legs.

Hi,
Potassium really helps. 500-1,000 mg when needed. My mom told me this for my hubby, who was a jogger. Once he took them before bed he stopped getting the charlie horses. They had been terrible!
Good luck with everything. I'm not expecting. I just checked here to see if I could help with anything.

As for your sciatica, after SO "rubs your butt" for you have him take his elbow and put it into the top part of your butt muscle, IT WILL HURT FOR A FEW MINUTES!!!! BREATHE!!! and you will feel it release go down to lower butt muscle/cheek have him take his elbow and angle it "up" into the muscle...have SO hold it there until it releases...SERIOUSLY this works!!! saved you a trip to the chiro and to a massage therapist...dont be surprised afterwards if you twist your back will pop along your pelvis.
I was told to eat bananas but also to take 3-4 tums nightly for extra calcium. I hate bananas but have taken tums every night for the last 4 mths and the spasms stopped. I also started rolling over to a different side when I got up to pee (3-4 times a night now) so my joints don't get sore. seems to have helped quite a bit!
