Feel Like I'm gaining more than baby weight

My surgery was a VSG (after two failed lap-bands) in October 2007, I got  pregnant in April 2008 and had my son in January 2009 with no net weight gain I weighed the same when he was born as when I got pregnant.  Postpartum I lost another 30lbs and was basically at goal even got a little under goal.  I slowly started putting weight back on and had regained 15-20lbs when I got pregnant again in June of this year.  I had some health/hormone issues that could have contributed to the weight gain but I'm not sure.  Anyway I'm almost 26 weeks and have gained about 15lbs but I feel like the weight I'm gaining is more than baby weight.  I'm really freaked out I have another 14 weeks to go and am dreading gain anymore weight.  I'm afraid I won't lose the weight post-baby like I did before since I'm 3+ years post-op and this is my 2nd baby.  Anyone have a 2nd baby post-op and still at goal?

Thanks for listening!

Lauren

RNY on 04/30/09 with
I had my RNY in April of last year and I found I can eat and eat and EAT with this pregnancy. Just like I could with my first 2, you would never know I had surgery! With that being said, I am 23 weeks and gained 15lbs. I am not happy about it but I can't help it either. I can't stop eating. With my first son I gained 10lbs -lost 40lbs after he was born and my 2nd I gained 25lbs -lost 20 after he was born. So ....I hope that I do not gain so much and that I can lose it easily after birth. My ob told me to gain 35lbs. Uggh. I feel I may gain more than that at this point. Part of me doesn't care as long as I have a healthy baby, but part of me feels like I worked so hard to lose weight that I don't want to destroy that.
Good luck to you.

I would not be worried about the 15 lbs, I have gained almost 40! I am really getting angry at my doctors because they had me take 2 glucose test, and I gaind 15lbs with the first test, and am scared to death to see what I gain from this one. I also have no energy to exercise so I am gaining more than I should and not eating as much as I should.
