Weight gain during pregnancy...
I've been told to gain between 11-15 lbs and no more weight loss. I'm trying to maintain but I've gained 6lbs and I'm 10wks along. Per the baby weight calculators, I'm 4lbs too much. If I up my protein, I'll lose...but I can't seem to find a way to fit in more protein when I'm trying to fit in the fruits and veggies that I didn't eat much of before.
Does anyone have a good diet for after surgery, during pregnancy where you don't gain much but you maintain? I wasn't really thinking about maintaining for another 60 or so lbs. Any advice would be appreciated and...please note, I can't stomach the protein shakes anymore. I woof up everything if I even smell them. (And I really liked them before hand).

Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.

I can graze all day long to get up to the 1300 hundred calories requested by my OB.

I'm with you on the protein shakes.
Before i got got pregnant, i had 1-2 a day... now even the smell makes me gag.
I'm 26 wks now and have gained 4 lbs according to my OB's office scale. It's actually been a struggle to gain.
My typical day includes:
B: 1 egg scrambled with butter and cheese
S:Greek Yogurt with honey and some granola
L: chicken salad with mayo
S: cheese and crackers or fruit
D: Usually chicken and a green veggie
S: Hummus and pita chips
I also drink a lot of 2% milk throughout the day for protein and calcium in addition to 60+ oz of water. When I figured out the calories on fitday.com, it was somewhere between 1500-1800 a day and 80+ grams of carbs.
It feels like I'm eating CONSTANTLY but so far it must be working because baby boy is measuring on the larger side of normal and already over 2lbs.
Good luck. I was 9 mo post-VSG when I found out I was pregnant and it's been a bit of a struggle to eat enough since I'm never hungry and I can still only have a few bites of solid protein before I'm STUFFED.
