Maybe a stupid question, but have to ask.
Anyone else have a hard time vomiting and is it from the surgery? I never vomited after my surgery. Now that I am pregnant I do and am sure it is from morning sickness. The thing is - hardly anything comes out. It's mostly water and mucus and its very uncomfortable.
Just wondering if this is because of my "new" insides. Before surgery whenever I threw up there was so much now hardly anything. Most of the time I vomit right after eating something so there should be something coming out, no?
Sorry if TMI.

I am having trouble but it isnt the same type of trouble. When i throw up it is like I do not have enough force behind it because it gets stuck in my throat and I end up having to cough it up. I know major TMI. But it is the ickiest feeling ever. I did get sick 3 times post op and it did not feel this way. But that was a year ago and I had the sleeve not RNY.. soo Sorry not much help. Let's just hope this part is almost over!

I believe they refer to it as the "foamies" not really bile just flemy bubbles. For some reason after surgery it is almost impossible to vomit because we do not have the stomach acid that causes one to vomit. Really wish I could during the MS period just for relief, but sleeping it off was OK for me too!
Sounds like the foamies to me also. I too have had the hardest time throwing up after having the surgery, even at almost 4 years out. The foamies were such a pain for about the first year out for me. I noticed that a lot of times I had them was from not chew, chew chewing up my food and taking too big of bites. I'm a fast eater, so trying to get me to slow down during meal times was next to impossible, but it does make a huge difference. There are times if something gets stuck, I will dry heave and have to basically force myself to throw up what is stuck, but that doesnt happen too too often anymore.
I had rny 2 years ago. For the entire 1st year I puked daily. No problems. lol. I was a strange case.
Now with this m/s I can't really throw up. It is so weird. You are not alone. I almost wonder if I would feel better if I COULD just throw up and get it over with.
