IUD and Pregnancy

Just wondering if any of the post-op wls have become pregnant with IUD implant??

Not with my IUD but as soon as that bad boy was removed....BAM!

I got pregnant 9 months post VSG with my Mirena IUD still in place. My doctor did an emergency IUD removal and several follow-up ultrasounds the same day I got a positive pregnancy test.

IUD pegnancies are very rare and most end in miscarriage because of complications with the IUD.

I'm not afraid of an IUD... both my sister and I were conceived while my mother had an IUD.  I kicked it out of the womb whereas my sister held onto it during the whole pregnancy.  I guess she wanted a rattle or something.  Now that was 40 and 44 yrs ago and ironically, both my sister and I have had RNY. Go figure.  Bottom line, neither one of us had any birth defects whatsoever.
