Less to No Dumping during pregnancy?
someone asked this in my suger, fat, salt binge thread. It really made me think. I hadn't really realized it until she said something.
I wonder why I'm not dumping, feeling crashy or getting hypoglycemic episodes over any of the wrong foods I'd been eating. I'm totally clean of those foods now but it's true that I was eating cereal, pie, ect without dumping. It snuck up on me over time.
Anyone else? I pray dumping will come back to me post pregnancy but I'm not planning to test it.

I've been here since 2002, I just like to pretend I am NEW!
I personally feel that it has to do with the baby filtering out the foods we eat. That is what I keep saying to myself anyway so I do not try to test it after he gets here. If you think about it, everything goes to the baby and we get the leftovers pretty much, so it make perfect sense that the baby did not have RNY, so he would not dump? Not sure if that is the reason, but again, that is what I keep telling myself.
I think I am the opposite. I have never dumped before. Sugar, chocolate did not bother me at all. But with being pregnant, sugar and sweet stuff makes me feel sick. And I don't even have to eat much of it. I had a few pieces of my daughter's chocolate covered popcorn the other day and I was so sick to my stomach. I had a bite of my husband's chocolate chip cookies that I made him today and I am so sick to my stomach right now. And this has been going on just since I have been pregnant. I am now going to have to curb all of my sweets eating (which, isn't necissarily a bad thing). Interesting how people react differently to things.
