 Just curious,
1-When did you baby start holding her/his own bottle?
2-When did your baby start crawling?

I know these are in my near future (well the first one might be mommy doing it too much for her)...but just comparing to see who much or how lil time I have

1.  Matthew started holding his own bottle around 5-6 months.
2.  He started crawling at 4-1/2 to 5 months old.

But he walked at 9 months old.

1 - He started holding his own bottle really well at 6 months.
2 - He started crawling backward around 7.5 months, just started crawling forward (then immediately mastered it) at 9 months - pulled up to standing less than a week later

Sage is still not holding her bottle, although she is very capible she wants mommy to do it.  She is also scootching everywhere, but mostly backwards, but she is trying so hard.

My girls were breastfed so the never had bottles, but they were drinking water from sippy cups at  7 months by themselves.

They also crawled at 6 months, pulled up to stand at 6 months and walked at 10 months.

1.) Clayton started holding his bottle at about 6 months old, but with difficulty because he is severely vision impaired. (Was born blind at birth and was blind until his surgeries at 9-10 weeks old).

2.) He started sitting up on his own at 5 months, "army" crawling at 6 months, crawling at 7-8 months, standing up to hold onto furniture at about 9 months, and walked 2 weeks before he turned "1".

Some babies are quicker than others and some take their time. We had our son involved with First Steps from age 4 months till he was almost 1 years old to help him meet his milestones because his vision problems did effect other fine motor skills. He's an active 3 year old now who can count to 20, tell you what every shape is (even hard ones like trapezoids, octagons...), and knows all of his colors. Some kids just need a little help and extra time. =)

Amelia will hold her bottle occasionally now and she'll be 6 months on tuesday. She can also get her knees under her and stick her butt in the air but is moving backwards only. I don't see forward movement being too far off though - time to baby-proof the house! lol
