well, I'm knocking on for 8 weeks and have been seeig the carb monster rising his head too!! - mine has been pizza - I don't think I've gained weight yet, but did half a donut today.
the stuff that would normally make me unwell, like donuts, are being tolerated by my pouch - no dumping. What's up with that ladies????

I love this forum by the way - love the honesty and warmth
WHOA! I haven't been dumping either! It's been awful and no blood sugar crashes either!

Maybe that's why I've been going nuts with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the like...because I finally didn't dump on it like I had in the past.

Hmmm, wow. I thought this was all my imagination but Busy B's post really made me think. I don't dump either anymore-dang!

Well, it sure is nice to hear I'm not the only one. I lost 4 lbs in the beginning, but managed to stay the same so far. I've been eating like a horse the last 2 weeks or so. I'm sure at my next visit they'll tell me I've gained! I can't get enough homemade noodles and tamales!

I have been guilty too...eating all the wrong foods. I also noticed I can eat more at a time than before pregnancy. I was wondering if it is true, what I have heard, about the hormone Relaxin that is released while pregnant and if our bodies really go back to the way they were before getting pregnant. I hope that I cannot eat an entire burrito! I read another posting a while ago where a girl said her surgeon told her it was virtually impossible to stretch out your pouch and after 5 years and 3 pregnancies she had gained a ton of weight back. Her surgeon did tests and found her pouch was not any bigger than before, so she went back to eating small amounts and lost weight again. I hope this is true because my biggest fear is not gaining but not being able to stop gaining after the baby is born. I really hate that I can eat this way again.... although it is not as bad as before surgery, it is bad. I don't want to fall into this trap. I hope to be able to lose it after the baby is hear, although breastfeeding may be a challenge because I breastfed my first 2 and I wanted to eat all the time.

LOLOL I have to laugh, b/c I too had been eating just about whatever for a while there.  Mostly in my 2nd trimester.  I was able to eat just about anything except the icing off a cake.  Now that I am in my third trimester though, seems like my body is making me adjust back.  I throw up everyday as I have to adjust back to the amt of food I can eat and what I can eat.  Sugar is out again, BUT something things are in but I am eating b/c it helps keep me eating.  Otherwise I would be starving.  I am on this Wendy's kick. I am loving the jr cheesburger deluxe.  I love all the onions, tomatoes, ketchup, pickles and burger.  This is the only burger I eat and only about 3 times a wk.  I use to eat a portion of the fries and soda, but not anymore.  The fries are too much for my pouch and the soda is dumped.  I use to be able to eat ice cream which was good since I dont drink milk, but had to give that up too, is causing dumping again.  I do like the sugar free sodas, like the Walmart brand, but again I sip one throughout the day.  I am trying to change anything with sugar I was loving to eat to regular foods.  That way I am filling up with the right stuff and not just getting fat...WHICH I have NOT been doing at all.  Of course I see the fatness on me, but everyone else still say their wows at my weightloss.

O and no more popeyes or KFC, I actually dumped that at one of my dr appts and its was suchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh a bad feeling.  Lesson learned. :)
