I need to kill the carb-monster

I am gatthering a possie LOL...I need a mob to help me beat, mame, kill the carb-monster that took over my body while pregnant and has refused to leave since giving birth.

I KNOW what needs to be done but for some reason keep finding the carb-monster taking over my mind.  It's almost as if I have multiple personality disorder LOL.  I lose conciousnes or something....and after I ate the chocolate or crackers or chips I then "come to" and think to myself "why did I just do that?"

So today my weapon is yogurt and cheese and ham to munch on while at the office.  (Good thing the carb-monster ate all the wheat thins and chocolate left in my desk yesterday).

Try this snack, it;s delicious and filling. 1 slice of wheat  Pepperidge Farm carb-smart bread, slather half of it with Peter Pan whipped PB, fold it over and voila! Love it!
The whipped PB has 1/3 less sugar than regular, and the bread, 60 cals and 8 little carbs.
I know how you feel. Right now I am foaming at the mouth looking at a huge box of goldfish pretzels. MMmm.

I am the same way! I wake up at 2 and 4 am to pee, and I go to the candy! I am not sure why, I know it is not good for me, but I WANT IT!! Bagels and cream cheese, baked lays potato chips, baked potatoes, and the best... Tootsie Rolls!. I try to eat the good things too, but I have to eat my carbs first leaving no room for the chicken or proteins. I will refuse to put any of that in the house after the baby is born though. My kids think it is free season because they know I normally do not buy that stuff.

We need the carbs while pregnant for baby's brain function, and our own so now is the time to get that stuff in if not getting in at least 100g of all good stuff. My OB and surgeon both told me, however you get those 100g you get them.

Trying to break that habit after baby will be interesting for sure...

I totally relate! See my post above about my binge eating thus far in pregnancy! Crazy stuff. I'm on track now though!

I've been here since 2002, I just like to pretend I am NEW!

Oh yeah!  While pregnant I kept saying to myself...I need those carbs for brain function, etc, etc....but now....trying to get control of it again has posed quite difficult for me.  As I sit here at my des****ep wanting to raid my co-worker's stash cause I know she has something good hiding in her desk and she is off today! So I munch on a cheese stick or  stupid pork rinds (instead of chips) cause I need a crunch even though I know the stupid pork rinds aren't great for me but hey at least it isn't salt and vinegar pringles!

ohhhhhhhhhh, it's interesting to read that he waits for us after we've had the babies. The only way I would be able to do it is to take all the carbs out of the house......................yikes>>>> - good luck with your food changes.
