Can your OB prescribe antibiotics for a sinus infection or do you have to go through your PCP?
Just trying to avoid a separate office visit (and co-pay) since I go to the OB tomorrow...

Thanks!

YEP!! Just ask him and say "hey can i get something for my sinus infection" they usually do. Heck my OB does have his quirks, he prescribes my potassium and nexium and basically what my Bariatric and PCP did for me.

Oh and make sure you tell them what works for you and what doesnt it. I have had to grow up with those nasty things and what use to work dont work anymore.

Thanks Harleymama.

The good thing about my OB is that they write everything down...so they even have in my charts NO gelcap or capsules because they won't go down....so hopefully they'll be cool about just writing me out something tomorrow. I sure would like some relief...

Thanks,
Jessica

Hey Jessica-
They are usually way more laid back about it too. I've been on three series of antibiotics for sinus issues. Nobody has bothered to look in my nose- they just write the script out for what's safest for baby. Right now I am on a z-pack.

Hope you get to feeling better!

Thanks Tracey. That is good to hear (sorry to hear that you're on your 3rd round).
I know that our mucus and gunk is in higher levels during pregnancy...but I am taking a tylenol sinus everyday just to take the edge of the headaches...with all the money I spend on this I should just get the antibiotics and be done with it.

Also come to find out my son is sick so I seem to catch everything he has and quickly...so I think that is why my skyrocketed over the weekend.

I am so glad to go to my OB tomorrow.

Hey, do you have any cute updated pics of your baby bump?
I looked in the mirror today and had to come show my co-worker because I swear I am so much bigger than I was just last week. It's kind of scary, but oh so cool!!

Thanks again Tracey  :-)

My "bump" grew a bunch a few weeks ago. One of my special ed kiddos who is normally pretty rough and tumble got a confused look on his face last week. He then pointed at my belly and asked "baby?" I said "yes- baby" he then walked over and gently put his hand on my tummy and said "feel?". It was very sweet.
I need to get my photo session lined up for next week so I can have some cool picts. As it stands I only have a few picts that my DH took with my point and shoot.

Kids are amazing and seem to know things that we don't.  :-)

When I was at the beginning of my pregnancy before we talked about it too much to our son, we went to the circus and on the train ride there, my son laid his head and hands on my tummy and said he wanted to keep the baby warm.

Kids are wonderful.
Can't wait to see pics!!
