Moms of older babies, nap question...
Ok, I offically hate you LOL Matty has just never been a good sleeper, he sleeps super light and in this house there is just no way you are going to get silence at nap time, even if the big kids are gone the dog and the bird make him nuts.
I was just joking the other day that I had TRIPLETS and never had these sleep issues, they napped like clockwork, went down for the night and never woke up at night, they where easier in that respect than Matty has ever been. I remember being able to vaccume under their cribs while they where sleeping and they never even budged.
Gah, maybe I just need to drink more coffee.

at that age mine did at least 2 naps, if not 3. The third being a short quick catnap. They will "let you know" when they are ready to transition.
MAYBE you could try waking him up earlier on the 1pm til 330 one...like maybe a half hour? That way, in THEORY, he we will go down about 9 and up at 1 etc...how long is he up at 130 for nursing? is he "Nursing" or pacifying most of the time? Sorry for being nosey....

I tried waking him up, and it didn't go well LOL No matter how gentle the wake up, if he isn't ready he is a total monster.
He is actually nursing at 1:30, he is only up for about 10 mins, drains both sides and then back to bed (on a good night that is LOL). He is down to about three times during the day, and this one short session at night, I have tried everything I can think of to get him to drop it but he just won't.

I could totally live with that! Maybe I should try and get him to go down for a quick nap in the evening, although lately I am just happy if he sleeps at all. Night time has been a free-for-all around here for the past few nights, his eye teeth are coming in and he is just besides himself, he gets so upset that he just won't even be held or rocked, but he does not want to be put down either.

I have to agree about that witching hour, it's brutal over here too. The worst is that the baby is a cranky mess for like an hour or so before DH get's home, and then the min DH walks in Matty is a happy camper and is fine again pretty much until bedtime, so DH has NO idea why I am so done when he walks in the door.
