protein in urine??

I had my first dr appointment today.  All my blood work that they did was fine but he said I am spilling some protein in my urine.  I had that happen in my first pregnancy but not until much much later.  I ended up on bed rest with pre-eclampsia.  But I don't know what it means to have it happen this early.  The doctor basically just said they will keep an eye on it. 

 i had a bit of protein in my urine through-out my pregnancy.  It's a non-issue unless you have other symptoms like High PB.  It will just be watched for now.

How is your blood pressure? That's really the primary diagnostic criteria (and there are multiple types of hypertensive (i.e. HBP) diseases during pregnancy - not all mean preeclampsia.)

I spilled the first few months, then I didnt. Havent since actually. Your body is just getting readjusted to being pregnant and new hormone surges. I know with this one WOW!!! first 3 barely had any, walking hormone right now. I CRY at a stupid commercial...I get upset over things I would barely even get upset over. Gotta love being pregnant!

Back to the protein, they will keep an eye on it. No worries. Really. I was preeclampic too, with prior 3. I am now not high risk for high BP but for LOW BP, whod a thought? It couldve been a fluke thing too, just like a one time occurance type of thing. Since it spilled, they WILL keep an eye on it and you alot closer.

Thank you all.  Everything else was fine.  Blood pressure was 117/74.

My doctors told me that it is normal to have traces, but when it goes over that, then they will worry. I have had traces throughout the pregnancy and my BP is really good. They also said it could have something to do with the high protein diet that the WLS patients are on. Do not know how true that is.

I did the whole time.  more than a little too, no one was concerned enough about it.  i never had pre-e.
